PRACTICAL GUIDE

Offline safety-document packs

Keep current SWMS, SDS files, live permits and site emergency information available on supported phones and tablets without reception.

STEP 01

Prepare the controlled source records

An offline pack is only as reliable as the current approved records it copies from the workspace.

  1. 1

Open Assets and sites and record the site address, emergency contact, assembly point and practical emergency instructions.

  2. 2

Confirm each required SWMS is the current approved revision and every relevant chemical has its current protected SDS file.

  3. 3

Approve the required work permits and confirm their validity covers the planned offline work period.

Keep in mindPreStartPilot assembles the current records; competent site personnel remain responsible for their content and for deciding what must be available at the workplace.

STEP 02

Install and check the pack

Install while connected so the device can retrieve and validate every protected document.

  1. 1

Open Safety packs, choose the required site and select Install for offline.

  2. 2

Wait for the ready confirmation and open representative site information, SWMS, SDS and permit files before leaving reception.

  3. 3

Keep the device secured because installed packs remain readable in the signed-in application while offline.

STEP 03

Refresh and remove device copies

A device copy does not silently replace itself when a controlled source record changes.

  1. 1

Reconnect before the shift and refresh any pack showing Update available.

  2. 2

Remove a site pack when the device or worker no longer needs that site's documents.

  3. 3

Sign out before handing the device to another person; sign-out removes installed safety packs from that device.
